real-time

What is Gene Brawl?

Gene Brawl is a modified version of the Brawl Stars game with client-side modifications and runs on the official Supercell servers. It allows the players to customize various aspects of the game like the theme, background music, camera angle & distance, instant exit to lobby, instant next match, in-game status, ammo & Super status, and much more.

It doesn’t provide unlimited resources like private servers, however, players with Gene Brawl can change the themes, enable options to auto-aim, auto-dodge, auto-move to target, show enemy brawler ammo status, hide their Super targeting status, see the Leon clone, etc.

All its features are accessible through its MOD Menu, named Debug Menu in the game. It shows the Debug button at the bottom left corner that can be opened from any screen, like lobby, profile, clan, brawler selection screen, and also in-between an ongoing match.

It can be installed alongside Brawl Stars and other mods like Nulls Brawl, BSD Brawl, Ghoul Stars, China Brawl, etc. So, players don’t need to remove any of the apps and can play whichever one whenever they want. Also, as it runs on the official SC servers, they can log in with their SC ID and play with their main account.

Gene Brawl Core Features

Gene Brawl’s features are divided into nine categories, depending on the game aspect they affect, like battle, camera, graphics, servers, room, chat, etc. Each category incorporates a group of options that players can toggle anytime they like and also save them so that the features trigger automatically on each game launch. Take a look below where we have explain each feature category and what they offer.

Battle

Battle features are all related to the in-battle mechanisms like aiming, shooting, moving, etc., and additionally, after-battle options like replay, play again, etc. Here, you can set your brawler to auto-aim, auto-Super, auto-Hypercharge use whenever available, and auto-move to the target. Automatically follow the teammates, hiding your charged Super & targeting status, showing enemy brawler ammo status features are also given. Moreover, you can turn on options to automatically skip the replay intro, battle end replay, or instantly go to the lobby without wasting time on the after-battle screens.

Camera Mode

In the camera mode, it offers multiple view options to change the camera & viewing angle in the battle. You can set it to Top-down center view, Top-down corner view, Top-down 2D view, Top-down 2.5 view, TPP 3D view, etc. It also provides options to zoom in & out of the whole battle arena. Also, the camera distance from the brawler can be changed.

IG Status

When you create or join a room, the game shows your real-time status, such as battling, away, not ready, end screen, typing, etc., to other players in that room. In Gene Brawl, you can set these statuses to whichever you want, and the game will show the same to other players even when you not doing it.

Themes & Theme Songs

It’s not limited to the current season’s theme. You can change the theme to any previous season or event’s theme and theme songs. It provides the whole collection of themes like Dark Sands, Finx, Superheroes, Lumi, Uno, Retropolis25, Godzilla, Madevil, etc.

GFX

You can customize the visual elements of the game, including visual style, visual effects, 3D models, animations, textures, user interface, etc. The lobby background can be changed and also made static for all backgrounds like battle, searching, brawler selection screen, result background, etc. The brawler outlines, emotes’ animations, and future events can be removed. The frames outside the map can be hidden to only focus on the brawler. It also has a feature to show your name in chromatic visuals.

Battle Servers

It also comes with 20+ battle servers to choose from. It includes the servers from India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Oregon, Dallas, Virginia, Los Angeles, Miami, Bahrain, Peru, etc. You can choose any server to play on.

Battle Camera Settings

While the camera modes allow you to change viewing angle using the given presets, battle camera settings allow you to manually change camera distance from the brawler, tilt it, shift it left & right and up & down, and also rotate the camera around your brawler.

Optimizations

Optimization features let you hide or show the special offers in the shop, future events in the event tab, and turn on/off the brawler’s dialogue sound when visiting their info screen or in battles. Not everything in Brawl Stars is useful, like in-app purchases for someone who doesn’t spend money, and upcoming events for those who play only selective modes. So you can just hide them in the Gene Brawl. You can optimize the game to your needs.

Miscellaneous

There are also other features like streamer mode, spam chat, skin changer, FPS counter, etc., that may come in handy for you. With the streamer mode, you can hide your in-game name and player tag. With the spam chat feature, you can write a message, and it will be automatically sent to the chat until you turn it off. FPS counter shows the real-time FPS, average FPS, and maximum FPS.

Visual-Only Features

Visual-only features are the features that are only shown to you and not sync on the server. It’s purely for fun reasons. With them, you can start the animation of unlocking any brawler or skin, upgrade any or all brawlers to max level, add/remove coins & gems, and much more. These features are only visuals, which means they will appear to you as if you’ve unlocked everything or have lots of resources, but in reality, your account on the server remains unchanged. Other players won’t see them. However, you can take screenshots and show them to your friends for bragging or fun. And when you restart the game, everything will revert to its original value.

Below is the list of all these visual-only features:

In-Depth Discussion of Gene Brawl Features

In previous sections, we gave an overview of all the features, but if you want to know in detail, read the following sections. Here, we have created a list of all features included in each category with their explanation.

Runs on Official Supercell Servers

The reason for its proper function on the official SC servers is its client-side modifications that affect the visuals on the user’s local device only. It doesn’t impact any server files, and the server is only concerned with the game’s rules, brawler type, positions, actions, and overall state. It doesn’t track the visual modifications users make to the local files. The modifications will only be visible to the user. Other players will still see the default appearance. Since the server isn’t aware of the client-side modifications, it won’t broadcast any changes to the other players.

Debug Menu Accessible from All Screens

The best thing about Gene Brawl is that its debug/mod menu is accessible through all the game screens. Unlike BSD Brawl, where you have to go to the settings, in Gene Brawl, you can access its menu from anywhere. It shows the debug menu button at the bottom left corner. Just tap on it, and it will open the debug menu on the right side. No restrictions on where you are, in the brawler selection screen, battle, profile, clan chat, event selection screen, or result screen.

Most Played Game Modes

When it comes to the game and its gameplay, it is Brawl Stars. Nothing is changed. The game modes, brawlers, clans, Starr Road, Brawl Pass, Events, and challenges are all available. You are playing Brawl Stars, just with extra visual customization features. Gem Grab, Brawl Ball, and Showdown are the most played game modes and are available all the time, while other modes cycle at regular intervals. These three game modes are as follows:

Gem Grab

It’s a 3v3 mode in which two teams fight to collect & hold 10 gems. At regular intervals, a gem is spawned from the gem mine at the center of the map. Players can collect the gems by simply walking over them. They can also defeat enemy brawlers to collect the gems they were carrying. Once a team collects 10 gems, a 15-second countdown starts. If that team holds at least 10 gems or more than the opponents when the countdown ends, the team wins.

Brawl Ball

It’s also a 3v3 mode in which two teams compete to score two goals before the opponents. A ball spawns at the center of the map. Players can kick or carry the ball to the opponent’s net to score. However, they can’t attack others while carrying the ball. The first team to score 2 goals wins the match. If both teams have a tied score at full time, they get overtime to score the winning goal. During overtime, all obstacles are removed.

Showdown

It’s a 10-player last-brawler-standing mode, with everyone for themselves in Solo and duo teams against other duos in Duo. Every player/team spawns at different locations, with power boxes scattered across the map. They can break the boxes to gain power cubes, which increase their HP & damage. They can also defeat opponents to collect their power cubes. Over time, a poison cloud begins covering the map, dealing huge, increasing damage to the player who comes in contact, forcing them to move towards the center. The last player/team to survive wins the match.
